Mark Levin is the founder and principal of Hirshmark Capital. Since 2010, Hirshmark Capital and its affiliates have completed in excess of $200 million in commercial real estate equity and debt transactions, consisting of an excess of 90 discrete transactions, predominantly in the New York market.
Prior to establishing Hirshmark Capital, Mr. Levin was a principal in the acquisition and disposition of over 100 unique commercial properties in the New York market. During this time period, Mr. Levin was heavily involved in all aspects of real estate ownership, which included renovation, development, financing and property management. This experience allowed Mr. Levin to gain valuable expertise in the retail, residential and office markets.
In 2008, Mr. Levin earned his juris doctorate, graduating magna cum laude from Touro College, Jacob D. Fuchberg Law Center. Mr. Levin is a member of the New York State Bar. Mr. Levin received his Bachelor of Arts in Economics from New York University in 2005.
Igor Vaysberg serves as the Managing Director at Hirshmark Capital. Mr. Vaysberg is responsible for the management of day-to-day business activities and oversees all transactions and operations, including asset management, legal affairs, investor relations and new business.
Mr. Vaysberg has a strong background in real estate law. He previously owned and managed a successful law firm that covered all aspects of real estate law. Mr. Vaysberg represented individuals, as well as major developers, in various transactions, from drafting and negotiating agreements to litigating disputes.
Mr. Vaysberg also has significant experience in the public sector. He served as an Administrative Law Judge at the Office of Administrative Trials and Hearings where he conducted hundreds of hearings and drafted decisions in matters involving alleged violations of NYC laws and regulations. Mr. Vaysberg also served as Counsel to a NYC Council Member. His responsibilities included advising the Council Member on public policy issues, prospective legislation, land use, zoning, and the NYC budget.
Mr. Vaysberg has been recognized by Brooklyn Borough President Eric Adams, NYS Senator Diane Savino, NYS Assembly Members William Colton and Alec Brook-Krasny, and NYC Council Member Mark Treyger for his dedication to the City of New York.
Mr. Vaysberg earned a Juris Doctorate, summa cum laude, from Touro Law Center and a Bachelor of Arts, magna cum laude, from Baruch College. He is licensed to practice law in New York State.
Doris Shen serves as the Director of Asset Management at Hirshmark Capital. Ms. Shen conducts detailed analysis of potential purchases and manages the due diligence and closing process for the purchase of non-performing loans and commercial properties. In addition, Ms. Shen oversees the day to day management of all our existing properties and loans.
Ms. Shen brings a diverse analytical background to Hirshmark Capital. Prior to joining Hirshmark Capital, Ms. Shen worked as an attorney, conducting due diligence and researching tax issues for residential real estate closings. She also analyzed securities as an equity research intern at Smith Barney and pension plans as an intern at the Department of Labor Employee Benefits Securities Administration.
Ms. Shen holds a Bachelors of Arts in Economics from the University of California-Berkeley and earned her J.D. from Georgetown University.
Janet Fan serves as the Director of Finance and Accounting at Hirshmark Capital. Ms. Fan is responsible for overseeing cash management, preparing financial and accounting statements and reconciling bank statements and rental accounts. She also administers all data for each asset in Hirshmark Capital’s portfolio and works closely with the external accounting team on tax filing and reporting.
Prior to joining Hirshmark Capital, Ms. Fan served as Vice President at Citibank, N.A. in its Global Transaction Services in the Asia Pacific division. Ms. Fan worked with corporate and institutional clients overseeing their cash management, trade transactions, currency clearing and other banking products.
Ms. Fan earned her Bachelor of Electrical Engineering from Shanghai Jiao Tong University and Master of Science in Finance from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
Jake Soodek serves as the Director of Acquisitions at Hirshmark Capital. Mr. Soodek is responsible for canvassing, networking for, and analyzing potential commercial property acquisitions, with a focus on retail properties in the metro New York area.
Most recently, Mr. Soodek interned with Thor Equities where he was responsible for market research and canvassing for various luxury retail clients throughout Manhattan. He also interned for Sioni & Partners where he canvassed and analyzed multi-family properties in Manhattan, Brooklyn, and Queens.
Mr. Soodek graduated from Union College and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics.
Mikhail Gurevich serves as the Director of Development & Construction at Hirshmark Capital. Mr. Gurevich is primarily focused on the acquisition of commercial real estate and the sourcing of short term bridge loan opportunities throughout the New York metropolitan area.
Prior to joining Hirshmark Capital, Mr. Gurevich served as a business expansion director for a European retailer. Mr. Gurevich’s responsibilities included sourcing potential locations, negotiating lease agreements and overseeing store fit-out construction. Over a 6 year span Mr. Gurevich opened over 100 locations, totaling approximately 500,000 square feet, in Russia, Ukraine, Poland and other European countries. In addition, Mr. Gurevich acquired and managed numerous residential properties in the New York market. These experiences have allowed Mr. Gurevich to gain valuable knowledge in acquiring and managing retail and residential properties.
Mr. Gurevich received his Bachelors of Arts in Business Management from New York University Stern School of Business.
Michael Fuller serves as the Vice President of Acquisitions at Hirshmark Capital. Mr. Fuller is primarily focused on the acquisition of assets throughout Manhattan, Brooklyn, Bronx and Queens. Mr. Fuller is responsible for the analysis and due diligence of all deals, including the purchase of commercial real estate, non-performing loans and bridge loans.
Mr. Fuller has spent close to 30 years in the financial and real estate business. After spending 18 years as an options specialist/trader on the floor of the American Stock Exchange, Mr. Fuller took his propensity for numbers and enthusiasm for deal-making to the world of commercial real estate. Mr. Fuller’s first foray was to spend 5 years as a commercial real estate appraiser at the Leitner Group, where he learned every aspect of valuation across all types of asset classes.
Mr. Fuller then moved on to work as a commercial real estate broker specializing in development deals and small institutional sales throughout NYC and the Boroughs. Additionally, he worked with a number of large Special Servicers and financial institutions to help dispose of their portfolios of distressed debt.
Mr. Fuller received his BS in Economics from Binghamton University and has completed coursework towards receiving a Masters in Urban Planning from NYU’s Wagner School of Public Policy. Mr. Fuller is a licensed salesperson in the State of New York and is active in community affairs. He serves on the Great Neck Library Board of Trustees, the Village of Great Neck Planning Board and has coached his sons’ little league baseball teams.
Edwin Gelman serves as a Special Assets Associate at Hirshmark Capital. Mr. Gelman is focused on acquiring non-performing and under-performing loan opportunities within the Greater New York City area.
Prior to joining Hirshmark Capital, Mr. Gelman worked as an Associate Director at Eastern Consolidated. His responsibilities included analyzing property rent rolls, income, expenses, and leases to evaluate market feasibility for potential transactions across the asset spectrum. He also coordinated and led off-market and exclusive marketing campaigns for the disposition of real estate on behalf of sell-side clients.
Mr. Gelman graduated from the Zicklin School of Business at Baruch College and holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Economics.
Matt Schatzle serves as an Acquisitions Associate at Hirshmark Capital. Mr. Schatzle is primarily focused on the acquisition of assets in Brooklyn and throughout the New York Metropolitan area. Mr. Schatzle is also responsible for analyzing and underwriting potential investments.
Prior to joining Hirshmark Capital, Mr. Schatzle served as an analyst at Anderson & Carr. His responsibilities included analyzing and underwriting various real estate asset classes. Mr. Schatzle also worked in the brokerage division of Anderson & Carr and dealt with investment sales, retail & office leasing, and property management.
Mr. Schatzle also worked for the Community Redevelopment Agency of Delray Beach, Florida where he canvassed and analyzed residential and commercial properties for acquisition and redevelopment purposes.
Mr. Schatzle earned a Bachelor of Science in Management from Florida State University’s College of Business.
Marty Lewis serves as an Acquisitions Associate at Hirshmark Capital. Mr. Lewis is focused on acquiring commercial real estate and sourcing bridge loan opportunities with a concentration in the New York Metropolitan area.
Prior to joining Hirshmark, Mr. Lewis worked on Wall Street serving as an Asset Manager where he raised capital and managed domestic and international clients’ portfolios. Mr. Lewis also worked as Managing Director at Lecot Capital LLC where he was responsible for the acquisition of residential real estate in the New York Metropolitan area.
Mr. Lewis earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Business Management from New Jersey City University.
David Pinkhasov serves as an Acquisitions Associate at Hirshmark Capital. Mr. Pinkhasov is focused on acquiring commercial real estate, sourcing bridge loans and non-performing loan opportunities with a concentration in the New York Metropolitan area (especially Manhattan and Brooklyn). In addition, Mr. Pinkhasov is responsible for analyzing and underwriting potential investments.
Prior to joining Hirshmark Capital, Mr. Pinkhasov worked as a Sales Associate with Epic Commercial Realty where he sourced, negotiated and managed real estate transactions. He also regularly conducted market surveys and communicated with sellers and prospective investors. Mr. Pinkhasov also served as a Construction Project Manager with Arbie Development where he oversaw the entire construction process: from ordering materials to maintaining safety standards.
Mr. Pinkhasov earned a Bachelor’s of Sciences from Queens College
Jie Xu serves as Assistant Asset Manager at Hirshmark Capital. Mr. Xu manages Hirshmark’s existing assets by monitoring the timely payment of insurance policies, property taxes and violations. Mr. Xu is also responsible for accounts payable and accounts receivable. He further provides support to Hirshmark’s Director of Finance & Accounting as well as to the external accounting team in the preparation of tax returns and financial reports.
Prior to joining Hirshmark Capital, Mr. Xu worked with Xiamen Financial Investment Group where he analyzed borrowers’ creditworthiness and prepared reports in connection with loans to businesses.
Mr. Xu graduated from Baruch College and holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance
